An opposing ally killed on the turn it was summoned has already lost its passive abilities, so allies such as Zephyra, Winterbourne or Asgeir, Ashwalker don't return to play. An ally summoned on an earlier turn keeps its passives and returns as usual, for example Eternal Troll.
